The Petrichor Project Summer Conference is a retreat-like event for teachers, leaders, and families who are looking for something different. Maybe you're tired of the limitations and frustrations of traditional learning environments. The best decision I ever made!

I loved getting to hear about how people set up their classrooms, their daily schedules, and special units/programs they were doing with their students. I was able to take home ideas to use right away, and can be a better teacher after this event.

Hi! I'M a mom, teacher, microschool owner, and faith-based mentor for leaders who want to open their own dream school

Meet Ashley

Ever since I was in high school I knew I wanted to be a teacher. There was something powerful that ignited my heart when I was in the classroom working with students. I knew God had made me to be a teacher, but after a few twists and turns in my "life plan" I packed up my classroom and headed home.

Thankfully, my story didn't end there. After a few years of taking care of my young kids, the desire to teach and have a classroom lingered in my heart. But...

I deeply wanted to stay home with my kids
I needed to financially support my family
I had no idea how to start a business or open a school

God grew the vision of opening a microschool in my heart, and He has been so faithful to provide for us in every way throughout the journey. But, I had no idea what I was doing and no clue that other passionate educators all over the country were doing the same thing. This is where the dream of The Petrichor Project was born - I envisioned bringing together like-minded leaders to support + encourage one another as we navigated this adventure together.

Now, in my microschool I get the best of both worlds - being home with my kids + teaching a classroom of incredible students. Connecting with other amazing teachers was the missing piece.

I am passionate about bringing together like-minded teachers and leaders to nurture lasting community and support, and our Summer Conference will be a wonderful time to meet and learn from each other.

It is my joy to come alongside people, like yourself, to encourage, support, and pray for you as you open and grow your own non-traditional school. We are better together, and we can make an eternal impact on our families, students, and community.

Yes, we offer an early bird registration discount of $107 and $37 for those who register before May 1st, 2024. Take advantage of this offer to secure your seat at a reduced rate. After May 1st, registration goes up to $147.

Is there an early bird discount?

We believe that student teachers are powerful and can make an immediate impact in non-traditional education. If you are currently enrolled as pre-service teacher, you can attend the conference for the deeply discounted rate of $47.

Are discounts available for students?

Please note that all conference registrations are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we encourage you to explore the possibility of transferring your registration to a colleague or friend who shares your passion.
